Jessica Ankeny's poems can be found or are forthcoming in Mid-American Review, Los Angeles Review, Missouri Review and elsewhere, and her chapbook, One Simple Step to Keeping a Clean Gun, lives at Dancing Girl Press. Jessica won a fellowship to The Vermont Studio Center in 2019, a fellowship to the Idllwild Writers Week in 2017, was a Poetry Fellow for the WxW Tomales Bay Workshop in 2016 and 2017 and a Poetry Fellow for the A Room of Her Own Retreat in 2015. Originally from Albuquerque, NM she currently lives in Los Angeles with her cat, Mr. Joni Mitchell.
